Security Related

I have been teaching the SANS GCIH and CISSP classes for about two years now. I am currently certified GIAC Gold in the GCIH and GCFW. I am also a holder of the CISSP certification. I started working computer security with Accenture Consulting in the areas of intrusion detection, incident response, and vulnerability assessment/penetration testing. Currently, I am (happily) employed with Northrop Grumman specializing in DCID 6/3 PL3-PL5 (multi-level security solutions), security architectures, and program certification and accreditation preparation. I have a Masters degree from Denver University, and I am currently a professor at Denver University.

Music Related

I used to spend quite a bit of time giging in the Denver area playing guitar and singing with Parker Needs Silence.  I quickly discovered that being in a band entailed spending a fair amount of time in bars which tend to be filled with smoke and people who spend allot of time in bars... Neither I enjoy much.

I also spent about three years doing sound engineering for the University Of Wyoming. While there I mixed sound for Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Royal Crown Review, The Atari’s, The Oranges, Citizen Fish, Charlie Pathetic, AAA, Ralph Nader, Johnnie Cochran, Henery Rollins, and Carrot Top.

All were kind and treated me well, except Charlie Pathetic.... Their version of “My Heart Will Go On” will haunt my dreams for eternity.

In my spare time I write loud rock music and make various futile attempts at fly-fishing.

I will post pictures of the fish I catch just as soon as I catch one.
